BeUp is the leading strategic human resources consultancy in Spain and Latin America in professional intelligence, leadership, and corporate culture.
When we started this project, we never dreamed of coming this far. Or maybe we did…
The Be Up story begins in July 2009. This was when Pilar Jericó and Marta Romo met at a conference on leadership.
The professional spark was instant. They were the only two women at the event. They had complementary training and were passionate about talent.
At that time, Pilar and Marta were already considered high-impact influencers in the sector, they had published several books and generated trends in specialized media with their contributions. And their idea was to add expertise, surround themselves with the best team and create an innovative project in the Spanish-language market.
Their journey began with another brand and also with other partners as travelling companions, but finally along the way, they became what they baptized as BeUp in 2011, now being the only travelling companions.It wasn’t easy but it was exciting. They started a business project in the middle of a financial crisis, and since then, they have grown as a team, building up their clients, alliances, experiences, and learning.
BeUp has seen its partners become mothers, how Pilar has been able to fulfill her American dream – because she now lives between Spain and Washington DC – and also a pandemic from which they have emerged stronger, especially in digital terms.
For a decade, we have not stopped attracting new clients. But the fact that makes us most proud is that 90% repeat with us year after year.
Every year we carry out an average of 300 workshops, some of them remotely, especially during the pandemic. More than 250,000 professionals have developed their skills with BeUp and we have promoted cultural transformation in more than 40 companies.
Now BeUp has a presence in Latin America (from its subsidiaries in Guatemala and Argentina) and in the United States (from its subsidiary in Washington DC), and a network of #beuppers around the world.
Currently, we work with 70% of the Ibex 35 companies. Leading organizations in their sector trust us to help them remain innovative.
We prepare the companies of today for the challenges of tomorrow. Because we are not satisfied with our clients simply adapting to change. We go one step further. So that they can lead it.

She has published 7 best-selling books (350,000 copies) translated into six languages.
Author of the blog “Laboratorio de la felicidad” (which translates as “Laboratory of Happiness”) in El País. (4.2 million annual readers)

Marta is a pioneer in the application of neuroscience in the business world and an expert in leadership, female talent, emotion management, and accelerated learning.
Degree in pedagogy with a Master’s in Human Resources Management. Executive coach, neurofeedback trainer, and specialist in Neuroscience applied to Leadership from the University of Chicago and Neuroscience applied to learning from Harvard.
She brings science to everyday life in a simple and fresh way to provoke the real transformation of people. Through this, she has become an influential voice on social networks (Linkedin Top Voices 2019) and an essential speaker at congresses and in the media (RNE, TVE, Expansión). She was chosen in 2021 as one of the TOP 100 Female Leaders in Spain.
